Shehla Chatoor Summer Misaki Designer Wear Japanese Garden Printed Jacquard Collection 2015
After the romantic allure of ‘Vintage Garden’ Shehla Chatoor changes gears to extreme glamour with yet another fabulous shoot by Ayaz Anis and Raana Khan for the ‘Misaki’ collection. Razor sharp and cutting edge, we love the spotlight effect on Rabia against the dark brooding oriental back drop with touches of gold leaves to compliment the jewel tones in the clothes. A deep berry pout and high shine sleek hair add that irresistible sultry aura.
Off the ramp the clothes show off more stunning details from the Japanese garden printed jacquard, full bodied pleated skirts to the immaculate leather weaves that have been handcrafted into cropped tops, capes, and even used for Shehla’s accessories line of boots, sandals, and clutches with flawless technique. Exploring the weave and the oriental canvas prints, the designer moves from fur lined capes and skirts to incorporate the classic Chantilly lace and silk sari made sexier with the leather weave cropped blouse, contrasting elements of rock chic edge and femininity. The collective would be incomplete without Shehla’s iconic gaara embroideries showcased here on a volume skirt interspersed inventively with metallic eyelets.
Exclusively designed for the collection, Shehla’s handmade Misaki jewellery line accessorizes each of the looks with exotic shades of semi-precious stones in jade and amethysts among others on caged cuffs and statement earrings.
