Mahgul’s PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2015 Day 2 Collection
Mahgul presents an A / W’15 bridal collection titled “Vivante”. In terms of inspiration collection, visited Vivante Mahgul Rashid visual artist aesthetic with the collection ‘ornaments and patterns were strongly inspired by aerial photographs of architecture and stark view drawings – reunification of these motifs with more organic studies of still lifes, such as flower vases and fruit a contrast and juxtaposition to create the visual story and narrative that tells on the garment. The sections were structured and supplemented by elements of deconstructivism to volume and angle to the overall silhouette. Mahgul accessories focused on Minaudière with intricate patterns made of brass and other metals. Some elements of the artistic hand painting could be seen also in this bridal collection.
Trends highlighted included sculptural 3D embellishments, the presentation of the utilitarian cargo pants and oversized armholes, usually characterized as casual wear that in a dupatta be worn today as wedding wear, Origami Accessories influences and designers redesign the way can and draped reinterpreted. Indian jewelers Vasundhara in Pakistan worked with Maghul for jewelry for this showcase.
