Maheen Karim Day 2 Tempo DiFesta 2016-2017 Winter Fashion Pakistan Week Collection
Maheen Karim is a graduate of the prestigious Central Saint Martins. After working with world-renowned fashion houses in the West Maheen returned to Pakistan to launch her own label in the spring of 2006.
MAHEENKARIM is willing to label Pakistan to take first, which specializes in western evening women. It focuses on the creation of eclectic luxury garments with consultant of new cuts and a silhouette with universal charm.
She was recently awarded the prestigious Lux Design Award 2009 for the best performance as a ready-to-wear designer in Pakistan as well as the MTV Most Stylish Designer Award. While still in its infancy this label has seen immense success and rising sales in prominent boutiques across Pakistan, London, the United Arab Emirates as well as exhibitions in Singapore.
The label is also MAHEENKARIM for dressing many celebrities and top performers in their territory responsible. The likes of Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, Aamna Shiekh, Reema Khan, Hadiqa Kiani, Frieha Altaf and various Pakistani models and facilitators have decided to carry Maheen stylish ensembles at home and abroad to the main red carpet.
Maheen aims the spectacular raw materials and craftsmanship available, they create in Pakistan to the fullest promise to garments the worldwide attractiveness. Create passion for trendy silhouettes and experiment with form allows her the woman of the 21st century Pakistan and abroad with a sanctuary where she is able to find glitz and glamor in a garment without feeling the need, in traveling abroad in search of sublimity rendered.
Regal Zar Gul Saleem collection of employed their signature traditional techniques of intricate embroidery, gota, Dabka and block and screen printing, on pallets of gold and jewel tones. The designer played with contemporary silhouette, adding in touches of velvet and Jamawar in their timeless separates heavy bridals and semi formals. The show ended with prominent Osman Khalid Butt showstopper and Maya Ali walk out to a live performance of Zebunissa Bangash of Zeb and Haniya.
Tempo di Festa Collection Karim was a feast of lively beautiful, glittering city of Karachi and what it was for a tribute! Karim fabulous showcase consisted of evening wear – patterned overalls, draped, fluid dresses and sharp jackets – the borders, while clinging to their signature feminine, dramatic and edgy aesthetics.
Nida Azwer the bridal collection titled Mystical Garden featured modern silhouette and breathtakingly intricate work on a range of pastel colors. The details of the outfits featured 3D whimsical grasshoppers, deer, rabbits, dragonflies, birds and bees and the silhouette of comprised of dhoti shalwar primarily belt separates, culotte pants and modern jackets worn culminating in aa, feminine and downright ethereal collection, perhaps their strongest to date. The show ended with the actress Mansha Pasha sashaying down the catwalk, the crowd went wild.
Traditional couture collection Sheikh featured Russian embroidery designs shown on a color palette consisting of deep purples, browns, chestnuts and gold. The collection was a mixture of eastern and western styles and embellishments where Sheikh handle the concept separates proved to be its strength.
Creative head Khadijah Shah had the audience fainted with her debut FPW showcase, a luxury pret collection entitled Sauvage. The collection presented beguiling and alluring prints, inspired by nature, both wild and beautiful. The collection featured a series of voluminous skirts, capes, pencil dresses and jackets with animal motifs, colored stones and crystals decorated. For accessories, partner Elan with Indian jewelery brand Valliyan Jewels Nitya Arora. As always belonged to the night into Elan.
FNK Asia by Huma Adnan
Collection Fnk Asia was a modern ode to the beauty of Tuscany, oozing romance and culture linked to the land. Creative head Huma Adnan signature ethnic chic aesthetics shone through, all while experimenting with styles, ornaments and colors.
Perwani show started with the musicians Zoe Viccaji serenaded the audience with a live performance, wearing a stunning ivory dress designer. Collection Perwani with baroque influences peppered with winter roses, Chantilly lace, organza and silk-screen prints, all effortlessly in rich jewel tones. As confetti filled the hall, Wiqar Ali Khan and Sana Bucha surprised the crowd when Perwani the showstopper.
